Hybrid Target system for 68Ga production
68Ga is a positron emitting radionuclide, applied for the detection of prostate- and neuroendocrine tumors. Its broad application became possible by the development and spread of 68Ge/68Ga generators, which provide cyclotron independent access to this diagnostic isotope. But nowadays the generator-based isotope supply is rather limiting the large-scale application of the well-established gallium tracers.
